At the Eco Foundation for Research and Training (EFFORT), we are dedicated to uplifting the rural and urban poor through various community-based initiatives. Since our inception on November 14, 1996, we have strived to provide sustainable and impactful services, focusing on diverse aspects of development and welfare. Although we work across India, our current activities primarily focus on Khammam, Mahabubabad, and Warangal Districts in Telangana.

Community Organization and Empowerment
EFFORT works tirelessly to bring together community members, particularly from underprivileged areas, to form cohesive groups that can actively contribute to their development. We help these communities build strong leadership and organizational skills, enabling them to manage their own affairs effectively and participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
Health Programs
Our health programs aim to improve the overall well-being of rural and urban populations. We focus on creating awareness about preventive healthcare, providing access to essential health services, and addressing health issues such as sanitation, nutrition, and maternal care. Through these initiatives, we ensure that individuals and communities are equipped with the knowledge to lead healthier lives.
Natural Resource Management
Understanding the importance of sustainable development, EFFORT actively engages in natural resource management. Our projects promote the responsible use of water, land, and forests, ensuring that future generations can benefit from these resources. We work closely with local communities to implement practices that safeguard the environment while supporting economic growth.
Women’s Development and Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
EFFORT places a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment. We provide training, resources, and support to help women in rural areas gain economic independence and social recognition. Our Self-Help Groups (SHGs) play a vital role in this, offering women the opportunity to come together, share resources, and support each other in various income-generating activities.
Water and Sanitation
Ensuring access to clean water and sanitation is a cornerstone of our mission. EFFORT works to improve water quality, promote sanitation practices, and reduce waterborne diseases. Our initiatives aim to build safe and sustainable water systems that serve communities in need, especially in areas with limited access to such vital resources.
Youth Development Programs
The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Through our youth development programs, EFFORT seeks to provide young people with the necessary skills, education, and opportunities to develop into responsible and productive citizens. We engage in activities that foster leadership, technical skills, and entrepreneurship among the youth, preparing them for the challenges of the future.
Our Work
At Eco Foundation for Research and Training (EFFORT), our mission is to create lasting change by empowering communities, particularly those in rural and urban areas of Telangana, India.
